I purposefully take the opportunity to revisit this shop. The salted pork soup never fails . Authentically tasty. I Not too sour and not too salty. The meat fresh is well prepare before cook. The atmosphere is one of the biggest turn off. But traditional business , cant expect much .

This is a dish you can only find on Penang Mainland. The soup is clear and tangy, the yam rice is fragrant, and the sambal soy sauce is the soul of the entire dish. Rating: 4.0/5.0

From Gurney to Chai Leng Park just for this Yam Rice. Worth the trouble, journey, toll fees. The Yam Rice you can eat it by its own without any other side dishes, it is really full of Yamiliciois and Umami taste. I’m not a fan of pig organs, so I just settle for 3layer meat and some liver. Meat is so tender and juicy. I called a bowl of braised pork knuckle to complement this trip. It is also very very tasty, soft and tender. My favourite lunch meal, I just had it 2 weeks ago and I’m craving for it once I’m in Penang. Overall 10/10

Salted vege mixed pork soup is delicious with generous ingredients, yam rice was moist & fluffy. Lots of locals eating here, fast service. Side dishes of braised pork knuckle, tofu & egg are nice.

Love it. I came here at lunch time and it was packed. I got my food in about 7 minutes after ordering which is very fast. I ordered a normal yam rice with the pork soup. The pork soup has the pickled vegetables in there which gives a sourish taste. Very refreshing. Pork is fresh and without porky smell. Quite generous amount of meat in a bowl of soup. The yam rice is okay. I think what I like the most is the chilly dipping sauce. I had to refill it twice. It has a nice well balanced shrimpy flavour inside. Price is reasonable. Parking in this area is limited but available.

It's usually packed during lunch hours. Don't come too late as they might be out of some items. The soup is tasty & flavourful. Meat ingredients are all very fresh. I like their dipping sauce the most. The yam rice is a bit lack of taste.
